She founded her own studio in Barcelona providing graphic design services to publishers and agencies in Spain such as RBA, Planeta, National Geographic or Salvat.
She always has an illustration project on her hands, and continues to paint with oils and gouache in her spare time. It is her true passion and she has finally decided to devote herself to it full time.
When she met the Urban Sketchers, new paths and new languages opened up, as well as the opportunity to travel, do workshops and lectures all over the world and a chance to meet wonderful people.
She loves all techniques: Chinese ink, oil, watercolour and coloured pencils, although she is best known for her drawings and workshops with gouache and acrylic paint.
She has held international workshops in Chicago, Brighton, Palo Alto, Madrid, Porto, Lisbon, Tuscany, Bern, Porto, San Francisco, Malaga, New York, Santiago de Compostela, Reunion Island and others. She has also been director of the illustration festival “Compostela Ilustrada” in Santiago de Compostela.

Barcelona is her city and she loves it. In summer, the Gothic quarter is full of life and colours and the joy of the atmosphere can be captured. In this workshop we will discover how to catch the essence of Barcelona’s flavour in summer, using mixed media techniques to create lively sketches, capturing the movement of the people and the wonderful architecture of the city.
We will focus on non-local colour by only using a reduced and lively colour palette combining coloured shapes and lines with different types of materials: coloured pencils, Neocolour pencils, graphite pencils, markers… also some collage pieces. We will also practise some aspects of visual reading and points of interest (urban elements, people, etc.).
Materials:
- Notebook or A4 paper with a fine texture (hot pressed).
- Neocolor I pastels: pink, blue, orange, yellow and white.
- Polychromos or Luminance coloured pencils (recommended to match the gouache colours): ochre, orange, turquoise, black.
- Brush (two or three sizes)
- POSCA or markers of different colours, preferably bright or fluor colours.
- Other materials: gouache sticks, gelattos…
- Small scissors
- Glue stick
- There will be coloured and textured paper for the participants.
