Paul Klee referred to the building as “our fellow sufferer” given that the urban architecture is where the everyday activity of the human beings happens.
In this workshop, guidelines and advice will be proposed to represent the two-sided relationship between architecture and life on the streets, by adopting some of the perceptive principles of the Gestalt school.
In order to achieve this, it will take advantage of the fact that this year marks the centenary of the death of the Barcelona architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, one of the greatest representatives of the Catalan modernist movement. His built work will serve as the location for the workshop.
We will work mainly with line, that is to say, the basic material to work with will be the pen or the liner. Subsequent touches with watercolour with a reduced palette will complete the exercise.
