French illustrator based in Barcelona and one of the pioneers of the Urban Sketchers movement.
He defines himself as a “mobile illustrator”. He has published more than 40 books and facsimiles of his sketchbooks of cities such as Barcelona, Zaragoza, Paris, Berlin, as well as publications for institutions such as the Musée des Arts et Métiers and the Musée de l’Air et de l’Espace in Paris.
He teaches at the Faculty of Design and Engineering “Elisava” as well as on the online platform Domestika. In 2019, he was appointed official painter of the French army, with the nickname “Capitaine Lapin”.

In this workshop, Lapin invites you to draw everything that surrounds you, as if seen through a fish’s eye. The lines will become curved thanks to the curvilinear perspective. We will draw a 180º including architecture, people, words and sounds to capture the moment in the sketchbook.

Materials:

  • 0.2 calibrated black and coloured marker (grey, sepia, blue).
  • travel kit of watercolours (ochre, groc, alizarin crimson and cobalt blue) and brushes
  • white gellly roll
  • notebook DINA5 or larger
